Emma began her career in financial journalism in 2003 as pensions reporter on the Financial Times’s weekly Financial Adviser newspaper. Between 2003 and 2019 she edited several of the FT's award-winning titles for intermediaries, including Financial Adviser, Mortgage Adviser and FTAdviser.

As well as winning multiple awards over the course of her career for breaking exclusive news as well as in-depth reports, she has spoken at the Conservative party conference and appeared on BBC radio programmes talking about personal finance.

In 2019 she joined the Chartered Insurance Institute as communications director and was responsible for the production of its publication for insurance professionals The Journal and CII Radio podcasts. She joined Insurance Post as their 21st Editor in November 2022.

Jonathan Swift

Content director

Jonathan has written and commented about the insurance industry since 1998 as a reporter, news editor, editor and content director at Insurance Post.

He has appeared on television speaking about topics as diverse as the insurance implications of Michael Jackson's death to the consequences of consolidation on motor premiums; and is a past winner of the British Insurance Brokers' Association journalist of the year and Association of British Insurers general insurance trade journalist prizes.

Scott has over 5 years of experience within financial services, mostly around insurance.

He began his career in insurance journalism back in 2017 when he started working for Insurance Times, moving from a junior reporter to the online content manager.

Following that, he moved into content and PR, most recently working for Allianz, before making the move back to journalism to join Post as news editor.

Scott has over 5 years of experience within financial services, mostly around insurance.

Harry is a news reporter for Insurance Post covering the London market, corporate lines and risk management.

He joined Insurance Post in 2018 and won the British Insurance Brokers’ Association most promising newcomer award in 2019.

Frances joined Insurance Post in April 2022 covering the broking beat. She is a MA Journalism student at Kingston University and is also completing her NCTJ diploma.
